economical benefits

Climate change is a very serious issue that should be keen observed to prevent it. It is necessary that greenhouse gas emissions should be reduced to stabilize the climate. Burning fossil fuels pours out more GHG (green house gas) at a life threatening rate and causing global warming. The rate of change is getting faster and faster and we are finding its adaptation to be very difficult. There is only one global warming solution and that is take actions to minimize climate change.

Emission trading or cap and trade programs are used to control pollution. Cap-and-trade program is the easy way of providing economic incentives with the reduction in the emission of pollutants. Many people are joining the programs that include the offer of offsets to control the climate change. Offsets are the valuable tool for the reduction in greenhouse gas. In this trade the buyer pays for polluting and seller is being rewarded for not polluting in fact he is the one reducing the pollution.

Offsets develop new technologies to reduce dependence on carbon-based fuels. Reduction in emission can be short and long term too. Offsets are beneficial environmentally as well as economically. In essence, it is a market exchange unit that measures GHG emission reduction achieved by projects using a variety of means. Examples that are recognized in other GHG emissions markets include carbon sequestration, methane capture, energy efficiency, renewable energy projects, and destruction of industrial pollutants.
